I am not in warranty because I did not get to use for over a year after I bought due to extreme illness. I just got it setup and made 10 small snowmen over three days. While sanding the final snowman the lathe stopped working . I touched the motor housing , and found it to be very hot. I turned off the lathe and let it cool, when I attempted restart it did not work. I unplugged the lathe from the outlet and removed the motor cover . I found the ground wire broke , and power wires fell off the switch. The insulators were not over the connectors so if the wires had touched the housing I could have been shocked. I disassembled the motor and found signs of overheated brunt wires. I checked the required wire size for that size motor, and found the wires used was under sized, making the unit unsafe. They used 18/2 wire should have been at least 14/2. T he connectors that fell off were a different material than the switch making them expand and contract at different rates, making them come lose. Do not buy this unsafe product.

It was very weak machine. Was under my expectation. With This price I could buy the better one. Disappointed

The tail stock the way it works and the tool rest the way it tightens down is terrible and needs to change bad design

Was excited to get back into lathe work again, so I got this tool thinking I could get my bearings again before buying a more professional model. Out of the box it went together rather easy following the instructions. First stock on the machine I realized that it was bouncing everywhere x after checking that I was centered in mounting the stick I tried again. Still more shaking even after I mounted the lather directly to the bench I was working on. Come to find out that shaft that connects to the motor is bent throwing the machine out of center. Anyway like the title says don’t know if I’ll buy again.

This lathe was more than I expected. The Quality of the castings was very good, considering the lower price than competitive units. I love the safety "off" switch. I would purchase this 10 x 18 lathe again.

This tool definitely has a learning curve; that's the reason for 3 stars on ease of use. It is built well, and does its job well. I could see turning multiple table/chair legs at a time if you are a furniture crafter. This is more than I need for my home shop, but it does work great.

Great item and price. Super fast shipping. The lathe works extremely well and appears to be pretty good quality. The lathe chiseled that come with it are throw aways. The chisels.are not the place to skimp.

This lathe works right out of the box, if you are looking for a quality product for a low price this is for sure a great buy!

I haven’t got a chance to use it quite yet, and I am almost done setting it up, but it is heavy duty, and has a strong motor, as I have already turned it on, but it did not come with an instruction manual for some reason, but it’s actually pretty Simple to set up without it. I will update review once I’ve used it.
