Carving software is provided with the goods. LaserGRBL is used for laser software and Candle is used for tool carving. The common image of laser engraving can be directly carved when it is opened. The Candle software of tool engraving supports the. nc file format of executing G code. You can download ArtCAM software online, convert the image or CAD into G code file, and then use the provided Candle software to realize relief or cutting. The video of machine operation and assembly can be provided for watching and learning.

Aluminum cannot be engraved, but plywood and acrylic can be cut in layers. The maximum Z-axis travel is 4.5 cm.

Can the 3018 CNC machine have a more power lazer installed, if so are you able to provide one, and what is the size of bits the Router Collet will except

You can search a more power lazer on our website. The ones we carry can clamp 3.175mm tool handles. You can also take out the spring collet in the middle and replace it yourself. I'm not really a mechanical person but I managed to assemble the machine in a reasonable time. It works well and has some new good features to that of my old 6 year CNC (broken) machine. I like the positioning knobs. They save a lot of time. Bigger work area.

Good product for the price and seems well built. Like anything new there is a pretty steep learning curve but once you have the basics locked in you can do some pretty cool things with it. I highly recommend adding air assist for laser cutting.

I bought this cnc because it had a good price. Assembly took some time even with the manual and several videos found online. Machine works very well, used Easel to create projects then Candle for further carving. Recommend this machine for anyone interested in starting out with cnc projects - excellent value for money. Assembled machine is firm and maintains its rigidity even after many months of carving. Worked far better than I originally envisaged, now hooked on it. Now researching a larger laser machine for more learning as well as projects.

Incorrect parts
Didn't get far in the assembly process. Bolts for corner brackets the washers are .2mm too small so had to get my own otherwise easy setup

S3018 engraver
Received as promised. Being a first time used I had my son give me some help re assembly then how to use, My only problem was I did not realise how easy to use it really was with an offline controller and Inventables Easel. I contacted VEVOR via online re purchasing a controller, they promised to follow up and get back to me ASAP. To date no response only negative on the whole deal. I have since ordered a controller from China. I use the machine to make items for childcare such as engraving wood pieces with animals' aboriginal icons and symbols which are eagerly received and used in the education process. Only lesson make sure if buying get one with offline controller, so easy to use.
