Machine a little underpowered, but I fixed that problem by rewinding the secondary coil which has two turns only on transformer with thicker wire and managed to make an extra turn too. Machine now much more powerful. Also, wired in some sockets for external cable for hand held spot welding extension. Much better now and works very well. These features should be standard on the machine.

I can’t say enough about how well this welder works. I had no problems setting it up and building up a 12cell battery for my portable vacuum. I tested a weld on an old cell and found the nickel strap fails before the weld. Good tool.

Just completed 3000+ 18650 LiIon welding without problem.

It took care of assembling the replacement battery pack on my cordless vacuum, but it did take some tinkering to adjust the electrodes just right as the arms are not precisely mounted and allow the electrode spacing to change from one weld to the next. I read reviews on similar products tripping breakers and took precautions to us a 20A breaker with the plug just 4 feet away from the breaker to avoid troubles. It would be helpful if they provided guideline setup values. I found I needed to turn the dial to full power and use the double pulse for 69 ms each and keep the electrodes clean to spot weld 0.006" [0.15 mm] nickel strip to the batteries and 0.018" [0.46mm] nickel plated steel to the strips.

Awesome, seller included VERY clear instructions, several types of sample strips and a whole huge roll of nickel plate strip. Some of the samples claimed pure nickel but last time I checked nickel was not magneticIts a little inconsistant with the wand but nothing devastating, and I wish the mounted arm was longer or adjustable. Can only weld 2 deep.
