Simple machine, works great
Simple to set up and use. Have used every day for a couple of months. Works great! Charcoal packets need to be replaced but are easily sourced on Amazon. Make sure you get them placed in properly so the distillate is flowing through them.

Very easy to use, so glad I don't have to buy distilled water at the store & lug it home anymore!

Best distiller!
They really thought of everything with this iteration. The distiller top has a handle so you can lift it off without getting burned by the very hot steam coming out. The pot is the selling point, though. A huge glass pot with a handle that holds as much as the distiller holds, designed to let the water drip in with the lid on to keep any dust from getting in the water, and the glass pot has a silicone no skid pad that fits onto the bottom. Additionally, there’s a nozzle extender you can put on the nozzle where the distilled water drips out if you want to use a catch that’s shorter to ensure that the water goes into the catch. They make two versions of this iteration, this particular one is simple and has only on and off buttons. You can get the other version that has an LED screen and can be programmed. That feature was unnecessary for me so I got this one with just the on/off buttons. I’m really, really pleased with this. With the last distiller, it came with a plastic jug to drip into, but I don’t like using plastic so we were using a coffee globe that wasn’t designed to work with the distiller so the distiller only just barely managed to drip water into the globe, and if anybody accidentally even slightly bumped it, it would be out of alignment and the water would run all over the counter soaking everything. So I’m super happy with this purchase, I’m really impressed with how they thought of everything when designing this set. The only drawback is you have to attach the handle to the glass pot yourself. This was no easy feat, it ended up being a two person job. Hint: it’s a lot easier if you lay the pot on its side when attaching the handle. But even that aside, this set is the best there is.

Convenient
This product is wonderful. I have been carrying gallons of RO water in glass jugs up a flight of stairs for more than four years. At more than 79 years old, it has become increasingly difficult. Now I can purify tap water easily and effortlessly with this device. It tastes amazing. I add trace minerals to replace those lost in the distilling process.

Satisfied so far
We’ve had the distiller for a couple of weeks now and so far it has worked perfectly. It takes a little les than 3 hours to fill the 1 gallon receptacle. The distiller runs quietly, though not silently and shuts itself off when the internal tank is empty and the receptacle is full.

Straight forward and easy to use
I wanted a way to have on demand distilled water for all types of home use (cleaning, humidifier, coffee/tea) and didn't want to have to buy and lug around distilled water jugs. I live in an apartment unit and need to walk groceries a few blocks so this was more convenient. The instructions are fairly accurate - around 4 hours to distill 4 liters of water. Just take into consideration other reviewers mentioning the auto shut off feature doesn't turn it off before the base is empty and it starts burning all the sediment from your tap water you put in there. So like another reviewer mentioned, turn the unit off after around 3.5 hours so there's a little water remaining. From there, you can fill it back up and start distilling again. I've gone about 3-4 refills before cleaning out the inner basin. Probably don't want to go too many more uses without cleaning as the sediment will definitely build up with each use and will be harder to clean between uses. That said, to clean, I haven't even used the citric acid that comes with the unit, just some white vinegar at the bottom of the pot, let it sit 10 minutes, then a paper towel to scrub the vinegar around the bottom of the pan and the inner sides to remove all the sediment. It cleans it with a good scrub. Then just rinse with water and it's ready for another use. One thing to note, the unit pumps a LOT of heat out while on, so it will easily raise the temp of your kitchen/room a few degrees if you are in a small apartment
