Built out of light material. I don't think I would hang it under a truck bed or an application similar. I mounted mine on the deck of a mowing trailer to hold a battery and remote for a grass dump box. It worked great for that. Real good deal compared to the farm and fleet type stores.

A little flimsy. But works fine for what I need. It is still worth the money. Will work if not for commercial use.

I purchased this box to mount under m mailbox for larger packages. I have several trucks with belly boxes on them and I was I little surprised how physically lite weight the box is. I shouldn't have been after thinking about the pice of aluminum and the price I paid for the box. All that being said would not personally install this box on an of my trucks. I don't believe it would ever hold upto the riggers of a bigger truck. However installing them in a pick up truck or maybe a van. Gary Evans Master Electrician Backstage Electric Inc

Very Light duty box. Worked fine for what I was needing, but would not use it to handle heavy loads without proper supports.

I was going to get a wooden box built for the rack on my bike, but this is much better!!

These are great boxes. Very well built. One fault in their design is the locking mechanism can be jammed by items shifting in the box. If something gets under the key mechanism, you cannot get in the box without drilling the rivets out and removing the jam. Luckily, I was not on the road at the time and was able to remedy the problem myself at home. Something designed to keep that area clear would make this a five star review.
