this large umbrella mount for my floating dock..very robust build but be careful as it was not cleaned off of metal filings from the manufacture. Got a very small aluminum splinter in my hand that went pretty deep but got it out. Wear gloves and file any sharp edges. The very small and weak so called handle made no sense?? It's useless. Drilled my umbrella pole to match the posts pre drilled holes, then used a 1/4\" trailer coupler pin to secure the umbrella...no worries with the umbrella being lifted from the post. Gave negative 1 star because of the splinter it gave me.

Although I still had to add weight to it, it is much nicer than the ones who stick up 4 to 5 inches. It’s flat I can put my furniture up against it.

I have previously purchased one of these so purchased 2 for a clients outdoor umbrella. The only issue is it doesnt have a weep hole on the side for rain / water to get out

The quality is nice but the design is lacking. I had to drill a hole in the bottom center to allow water to drain. I also used a drill to drill through the umbrella pole through the holes provided in the stand. I did this such that the umbrella pole bottom was still 1 inch above the bottom to allow water drainage. This secures the umbrella to the base and ground. i.e. it is not going anywhere. The sleeves rattled so I had to add foam between them to dampen all movement. With these mods it is a pretty nice stand.

My base came in quickly. Item was priced right. Trustworthy seller.It worked fine for what it was made for, this is just what I needed, thank you so much.

My last stand fell over all the time. We close our umbrella and try to remember to tip it over before the wind does but of course we forgot one night and it broke. Bought this one and put water in it. We bought sand but so far with just the water, it has not tipped over at all and we have had a few wind stroms roll through.

We are using it to hold our umbrella on the deck. We have had some winds at it stayed up without using a table to help it stay standing. I just wish the umbrella holder didn't turn.
