I bought this rack to use on a kayak trailer I was making. It is a fantastic product. Quality is top notch and it was easily adjustable to meet my needs.

The instructions for this ladder rack are bad, so you will have to have common sense and 3D skills to install. But once installed, the rack is very sturdy. That's why I gave 5 stars. I installed using the\" J\" bolts. Once the entire rack is installed and tight, you can easily remove each rack as one piece. this will allow for quick reinstall when needed. (My truck wont fit in garage with rack on, so I have to take down and reinstall for use.) If you are permanently installing w/bolts (holes drilled through truck) the rack should be equally sturdy, maybe even more than with \"J\" bolts.

This item is easy to assemble, sturdy, and the fit and finish is very good. Considering this rack is about 1/2 the price of some competing adjustable height racks, this is a great buy. The packaging was well thought out and the components were well insulated from rubbing - and double boxed for protection. When assembling a generously tolerance item, such as this, one must remember to leave mating attachments loose until all related components are lined up and all threaded fasteners started into the proper mating component, bracket, etc. before final tightening. Otherwise, alignments can seem astray and give false impressions. People with basic assembly experience will have no trouble ...and there are some good assembly videos out there to help those less mechanically inclined.

Solid heavy duty easy to install no drilling .It fit my Nissan for my 2 kayaks and cheap.

My wife and I shopped high and low for an affordable set of truck rack /rails in order to transport our kayaks during our planned vacation. The price was right and thus far the usage has been relatively easy. One big thing we could not find was the product in a black aluminum which would look much better on my pick-up truck. The adjustments, although straight forward, takes additional time as everything needs to be loosened to ensure it is level and not binding. Also found, additional holes should be standard on the top bars in order to be able to lock the rails at different distances / lengths. For the price it was a good purchase all in all.

Very impressed with the workmanship of this rack. The J-hook mounting system is excellent - the rack is ROCK solid. Perfect for hauling 2 kayaks. Good product.

Was concerned when I ordered this that it would not be stable since it did not have a top bar connecting the front and the back. I bought this for kayaks and occasional lumber. I installed it the other day using the J-hook and one bolt. Once I got the crossbar on , this thing is rock solid. It does not move at all. I was very surprised since I installed it on top an over the rail bedliner . So I was concerned if it would be solid enough. It is rock solid .The only thing that was an issue was the box was pretty tore up but to my surprise, there’s only one pipe that had a slight flat spot on the open end, so it would not fit over the male piece. I was able to tap it out and it worked after that. I will have to say I am glad I got it. I did have to get longer bolts for securing it to the bed. It just made it easier to reach.

I am very happy with this purchase. I have seen other ladder racks being sold online similar to this, and the prices were outrageous. When it got here (really quick I might add) it was a breeze to assemble and install on my truck. The adjustable height and width were easy to figure out and it supported the load I put on with no problems whatsoever. After my project was finished I had no issues removing it with the supplied c-clamps and no trace was left to show it was ever on. Again this company never ceases to amaze me with the price and quality of what they offer.

It do not work well with bed liners

Purchased this for our kayaks and it works great on my 2019 Ford F-150! Easy to put on/take off. Very happy with it!
