The Toilet Safety Rail was an easy DIY project. All the rail pieces were included in the box. This safety rail is portable and simple to install, remove, and replace. I appreciate that I can take it with me for weekend stays when safety rails aren’t available. Additionally, I like that I can clean the toilet without having to remove the rail. The rails appear durable and are wide enough to accommodate a larger body. What’s more, I didn’t have to remove the bidet, and it functions well alongside the rails. I highly recommend this product!

We have to modify our toilets to help a loved one with mobility issues. We have four toilets, and each one has to be modified. For some, you need a raised seat just to make it easier to get up & down. That's ideal if that's the toilet that person will use most often, like in an en suite bathroom. But for other toilets, modifications like this are much better. A bigger bathroom can handle the handrails that need clearance on the floor, but some of them don't allow the lid to close. For our cramped hall toilet, this is perfect. After removing the toilet seat, I was able to slip this on top and quickly adjust it to fit. The spring pegs along the back make it easy to fit this to toilets of different sizes. And the flat tabs that go under the seat are coated in a rubber that helps it grip, so the handrails don't move. I was impressed by this after installing it, because it is better for a toilet that is more likely to be shared and that is in a smaller space, or if you want a lower-profile commode-modification: a commodification, if you will..

These toilet safety rails are a very nice alternative to installing bars into walls, cabinets or floors. My mother-in-law is 95 years old, and she is needing a little assistance in getting up from the commode. She has a rail on the wall on one side but needed something for her to hold onto on the other side as well. There really isn’t anything on the other side to attach an additional rail to so we were looking at options. We found rails that would install on the wall which would require attachment to a stud and even then, we weren’t sure if it would provide the needed stability. The next option was a rail that would affix to the floor and again we weren’t sure if it would be stable enough. We felt that it would be more stable but only if we were able to locate a floor joist to attach it to be we weren’t confident enough that we could and really didn’t want to drill into the tile floor if we found that it wouldn’t really work. Thus, we narrowed down our options to a walker style safety rail or this safety rail that is affixed to the toilet. We landed on this product because it seems like it would be very easy to install and would also be easy to uninstall if it didn’t work or we no longer needed it and it seemed like it would be more stable because it does affix to the toilet. Our toilet seat had plastic bolts, and while it was somewhat stable it still felt a little iffy. We opted to go to the hardware store to get metal bolts and that provided better stability. What we found was that as long as pressure was applied to both sides evenly this is a wonderfully sturdy option and just what we needed. If pressure is applied unevenly, it does have some give even with the metal bolts. I don’t feel that it would be an issue, but it could make someone lose confidence in it’s sturdiness. So far, it’s working pretty well but we may still end up installing a different type of rail if my mother-in-law becomes weary of the wobble when she doesn’t push up from both s

As always, I'm more than adequately pleased with this company's product. Whoever runs that place needs to receive a medal for providing outstanding quality at bargain prices -- truly! This unit is SOLID in more ways than one. My mom broke her hip some months back needs these to help her sit down and stand up while using the porcelain throne. Granted I got the first one for free, I bought the second and third because the price is almost half that of similar products. And as I was installing the first unit, I could already tell what unwavering support the handles provide. They barely even wiggle when I try and shake them. So I'm all but certain that my mom will have the support her body needs without sacrificing her self reliance. Vevor, if anyone from your company is reading this, please continue doing exactly as you are because IT WORKS!

Got this for my mom and it works well

I had a stand-alone \"Safety toilet seat\". It just took up too much space in my small bathroom. I knew this would be a better solution. I spent almost an hour getting it right. Putting it together, taking it apart, putting it together again. There is only one way to assemble it to make it fit perfectly and work perfectly. If it's assembled wrong, then it will be too wide, too narrow, or not attached to the toilet, etc. It's a quality product, but I think the pieces should be labeled (1,2,3,4,5,6,7) or (a,b,c,d,e,f,g) Those seven tubes turn into one continuous tube. But some of the pieces need to be on the left and right side. Once the pieces of the puzzle are where they belong it is a quality product.

The first thing I noticed and appreciated when taking this out to assemble is that it’s mainly made of heavy duty steel, (besides the foam grips), has some weight to it making it feel like it’ll be secure and that it’ll hold up over time. Assembly wasn’t too bad but some of the photos for the directions are a tad blurry and hard to see exactly what’s pictured. I managed however fairly quickly. The hardest part was keeping the metal sections pushed into place far enough and lining up the holes just right to get the screw in. With two people it would be quick and easy but I did manage on my own just fine. I promptly got this adjusted onto my toilet and appreciate the different options to have it set at what width works best for me. The handles are comfortable and it stays sturdy into place. A great aid for helping one keep some of their independence that I’m glad to have. So far it has worked great and is easy to clean, although the foam grips may be a little harder to keep completely sanitary due to them being a soft foam. I’ll also have to see how those hold up over time but for now this has been a welcome addition to give just the support needed.

My daughter has fainting spells and frequent dizziness. She cannot always maintain her balance even when sitting. The last time she fell in the bathroom, she broke her jaw. This would have prevented that -- but we hadn't discovered it yet. I expect this to prevent injuries in the future. It is very sturdy and does not get in the way of other users.

I got this items to assist me after a major surgery. Though the package is small, the safety rails are really sturdy and strong. I could put all my weight on them and they did not give. The install was really easy and it fit my toilet well.
