The unit came with a good finished and fit together well. The supplied hammer is nice for light duty stuff but NOT TO ASSEMBLE THE UNIT. You need a bigger soft faced hammer for that. These seem to be getting lighter every time I buy one! Not a good thing :^( Still this shelf is good enough for my needs although I would not load it to even half its rated load specs. The wood shelf is way too thin, to hold much weight, so they use a small thin metal support in the middle to make up for it. This works OK for my needs.

I put this together myself in about 45 minutes, it would've been done faster if 2 people do it. It feels sturdy.

Purchased this for myself to store groceries and household staples. Very Sturdy Shelf at a good price. I really like it. Plan on getting another.

Bought a pair of shelving units. Easy to assemble and with 4 shelves there is plenty of space to organize and hold our extra garage items. They added an additional cross bar to each shelf. It added some much needed support for heavier totes.

Much sturdier than expected.

I am using this for canned goods. I have 4 1/2 shelves full and no issues with it holding up or being wobbly. I took a point off for quality as the board for the shelves is press board about 1/4 inch thick. If that gets wet, then the whole shelf will fail. I dont expect that, but it is noteworthy. Very strong and fits together nice and quick.

It was easy to assemble, very well-made after putting the item together. The item came with a damaged piece, but fixed it enough to assemble the shelf properly.

Heavy duty construction for basement, garage or storage area. Reinforced center beam for each shelf compensates for the thin wood-like shelves.

These shelves will not hold 2000lbs. I bought them to hold quart jars of canned goods. They will not hold them with the flimsy 5/16" thick MDF boards that come with them. They only have a single brace in the middle of the 4 foot span. This means you are spanning 2 foot in all directions with glorified cardboard. I should have spent extra on wire kitchen racks. I'm going to have to spend time and money on either A quality plywood shelf material or I will be fabricating extra bracing for the shelf material supplied. And... the MDF shelving smells like mold and chemicals.
