If you follow the directions and use a real wrench and pliers, instead of the flimsy wrench supplied, it assembles the first time with no leaks. Surprisingly sturdy for the price. The false bottom and bazooka tube make it a nice mash/lauter tun, which is my intended use. If I were to use it as a boil kettle, I'd make a copper manifold to sit on the kettle bottom and get rid of the false bottom and bazooka tube. The current design would waste a half gallon or more of wort, so consider scaling up your recipe to 5.5 or even 6 gallons if you want to collect five gallons with the false bottom/bazooka tube design. And good luck not clogging the false bottom and bazooka tube with hop residue.
