I had an obstruction in my 6 in PVC pond drain pipe that I could not snake out with a drain snake. I couldn't imagine what it could be. I bought the drain camera to find out. My plumber buddy was there for the maiden voyage of the camera. I connected five 20 ft. pieces of 3/4 in sch. 40 pvc and taped the camera with the included roller attachment to the pvc, and pushed it 95 feet up the 6 in drain line. (the yellow cable is not rigid enough to push it that far. I did, however, push it directly up the tail pipe of my truck, around a couple of bends all the way to the muffler with no problem) Turns out that the pond drain pipe was collapsed. The camera allowed me to identify the problem, the first step of any solution.
The instructions for the memory card playback leave a lot to be desired, and playback was problematic on the video screen, but when I plugged the card into my computer it worked just fine. Even had audio!
My friends all want to use this camera. The picture is clear,, the design is simple and compact. It is a good value, pretty intuitive to use. I recommend this camera system. It takes the guesswork out of difficult to read situations.
