I bought this filter/pump to replace a 1/2 horse 12 inch sand filter that was one year old. The 1 horse 16 inch sand filter combo works great. I would have given it five stars but the plastic fittings with the rub ber washers dont seal so they leak. They send teflon tape that its so thin you can read a newspaper thru it, throw it away and use a decent teflon tape on all fitting or fight the leaks. Lesson learned the hard way. Other than the leaks, it works great!!!

Had issues with shipping but they worked with me and got me one in. When I finally came in it took a few stops to go buy part to get it to fit with my existing pool lines. The out put pressure is not that great. It claims 3000gph. But I think it’s getting less because I had a cartridge filter and it did 2800 gph and seems a lot stronger. HOWEVER, it works amazing still.

I didnt see alot of reviews for this product but took a chance. For what it offered compared to the cheaper brands with less HP pump and smaller filter, for around $50 more but alot cheaper than other well known brands so far so good. Now if you like me and tring to prolong the life of the steal pole framed pool this pumps hoses doesn't match up to what you have. I am sure there are pieces to buy online to help marry this pump to your pool but i didnt want to wait so i went to lowes and engineered it my own way. I gave it 4 stars due to not knowing much past 3 weeks of use with it so i may change that. Good luck. For the money so far i recommend!!
