This review is for the 100kg version of this scale. I don't have good calibration gear in this range, so I can't evaluate this scale's absolute accuracy. However, its readings are highly repeatable -- the same load measures the same weight, repeatedly. Its 5-g resolution checks out, too -- I put a 15kg load onto it, then started adding US nickels (5g each), and each one raised the reading by 5g. Recommended.

I have a set of NIST calibration weights and put this scale through its paces. The scale does register incremental weight with great accuracy. For example, if I put a 30lbs weight on the scale, zero it out, and then add 55 grams, the scale will reliably read 55. Very impressive. Functionality is very basic compared to some other HVAC scales, but this was expected in this price range. There are buttons to turn the scale off and on, zero it out, and change units. The scale turns off on its own after a few minutes, which can be a bit disconcerting if you are in the process of adding refrigerant. However, when turned on again, it appears to keep its previous taring pretty well. The scale is built like a tank and comes in a nice case. It feels like it should last a long time even when thrown around in someone's work truck.

This scale was within .005 pounds of my regular much more expensive scale. Construction seems reasonable and it also has a memory feature so you can return later power up and measure removed quantities. The only weakness I see is the plastic molded hinge which don’t tend to hold up well under regular use.

I have a few VEVOR products. Some I have got through the VINE program like this scale and some I have purchased on my own. And so far, I am really impressed with all of them, including this scale. I pulled it out of the box, installed the 9 volt battery that was included and, was able to use it right away. There's no fancy modes so zero/tare is pretty obvious in how it works. REALLY like the backlit display. Makes it a lot easier to see. And if like me you don't use a scale every day and like your bench space, it has a sturdy storage case so you can safely put it on a shelf out of the way. Great for HVAC and shipping duty. All in all it looks like a well put together scale and recommend it to anyone looking for a scale like it.

I'm not a professional HVAC guy, but even so I've performed lots of my own AC work on both household and automotive applications. I honestly had low expectations for the build quality of this scale, just based on the brand, but boy was I proven wrong. I expected lots of plastic, but instead it's all steel with a durable rubberized mat on top. The controller is plastic, but doesn't feel the least bit cheap. It measures very accurately so far as I can tell. I tested it many times over with different objects on different parts of the scale, and it always returned the same weight no matter what with infinite repeatability. I even stood on it and weighed myself, and it came back with the same numbers no matter how I shifted my weight. It really is a far cry from the cheapo shipping scale that I used to use for weighing in refrigerant bottles before I had this. Even the case that this comes in feels very high quality just in terms of the latches and the molding. I'm not sure what the $250-300 scales offer that this one doesn't but I can't imagine it's much. If you're just doing small DIY sized refrigerant bottles and nothing else, I suggest the 110lb capacity scale for that little extra bit of accuracy. I only chose the 220lb model because for me this also serves double-duty as a higher capacity shipping scale.

This refrigerant scale's calibration is accurate compared to higher-end name-brand refrigerant scales. The calibration was accurate when I tested lower and higher-end refrigerant weights. The two critiques are it only displays the weight in decimals and doesn't display it in combination weights, ie. lbs, and oz. The second is that the display doesn't have a hook or a magnet to hold up the display when using it, compared to higher-end scales. For the price, this scale is a good value, it works perfectly and is very accurate.

I like that everything fits into a nice blow molded ridged case. It even includes a 9v battery. This is perfect to keep in your truck for weighing refrigerant for refilling ac systems.

Thus scale is so accurate and a really deal! The large size gives you plenty of space when weighing.

I like the case as it can double as a stable platform for the scale when you on grass or other uneven ground. I do not have calibration weights. But the fact it is repeatable with the same weight more than once inspires confidence that it's accurate. The hand held readout does have a backlight when your in a dark area.

This 220 LBS VEVOR Refrigerant Scale is super easy to use. It comes with nice sturdy plastic carrying case. The scale itself feels and looks robust with a rubber piece on top to keep the top from getting damaged as well as keeping your item from sliding around. The controller is easy to use and best of all it is battery powered and portable. There is a specific location in the case to keep the battery so it doesn't corrode and damage the inside of the controller. My only wish is that the cord was a little bit longer. I am fairly tall so standing up straight and holding the controller lifts the scale off the ground as the coiled wire does not stretch enough to leave the scale laying flat on the ground.
