Worked perfectly.

I need to move and shorten a 1\" gas line in my home in a tight space between 12\" OC joists. This product performed flawlessly! The dies engaged easily and cut clean NPT theads (also used the 3/4\") using plenty of oil to lubricate. The ratcheting function was extremely valuable in my case and worked well. All joints were leak tested and sealed up nicely. Let's me make it clear, I would not purchase this tool for continuous use as a professional, but for intermittent use or a project here and there, it cannot be beat! Fantastic value for the money!

Used to extend threads on black pipe. Also tried on pvc. Worked perfectly for both.

It's not easy to find a set of dies at a reasonable price. Ordered set for occasional residential use and they have performed very well. Kept blades and pipe well oiled and so far they show no wear.

Dies are good and sharp. They appear to meet NPT specs. Not the fit and finish of Rigid, but good nonetheless.
