Worked
The package was treated rough. I cannot say definitively but it appeared the package was thrown at the porch and missed tearing a hole in the package luckily there was no damage to the item. Just for the sake of being fair the damage to the package could have happened before the driver delivered it not him throwing it. If he was innocent, good. If not please be more careful with delivery. this particular lock was needed to secure a door with a broken lock having to wait on a replacement would not have been good.

Better and cheaper than door companies
Door companies wanted crazy amount to fix old bars so I replaced them with this forfar cheaper than their repair price.

Excellent crash bar for the money! Real stainless steel!
We have ordered several of these crash bars after seeing how good quality they are for the price. We have installed them on high traffic exit doors at an apartment building. They are real stainless steel. Comparable at a much higher price point. Our locksmith was very surprised!

Good quality, super easy to install
Used this for a remove and replace installation. The instructions aren't that great, but it's pretty easy to figure out. I watched one YouTube video and then we went to work. Took my helper and I about 20 minutes start to finish. Looks good, is secure, and works!

For doors 2 inches thick or require modifications, great price for its quality.
Important note: The listing never mentioned the minimum door thickness. It's for doors at least 2 inches thick. If your door is thinner, you can either 1) cut a 3/4\" thick plywood to extend the door handle, or 2) shorten the 2 screws, 2 screw posts, and the center rod to make the door handle fit. The latter requires some tools including an axle lock washer remover and a metal disk grinder since the center rod had to be removed from the door handle assembly for cutting. I installed this for our door leading to the garage, a thin 1.5\" door. It replaced an existing door knob without any issues besides having to mod the heck out of the door handle to make it fit a thinner door. This was a lot of work, but a push bar for less than the price of most decorated door handles is worth a bit of elbow grease for me. The overall quality of the push bar is pretty good. You can press either side of the bar and the whole thing moves parallel to the door without any additional friction or grinding. The latch is highly polished, the cover next the latch is aluminum and the screws are stainless steel so they didn't cut corners where it counts. Where they did cut corners are the covers on the opposite side. It's just a gray plastic cover. But since that part has no impact on the door's functionality I'm okay with it. Once installed, the door opens easily, and when you're holding bags of groceries, not having to find a door handle is an amazing feeling. :) Last note is that these types of door latches are meant for access doors that swing out, with the bar being inside and the handle facing outwards. For me our door in the garage swings out to the inside of the house. Since the bar is facing the garage, the door lock mechanism can only be used to keep people form entering the garage, not from keeping people into your home. Most garage doors have a bolt lock so that's not a huge deal, but it's something worth noting. I wish they sell a version of this with a door handle for
