I was hesitant to buy, but glad I did. I pitched the hardware (?) supplied & bought cement anchors (1/2” x 2.25”). Purchased 1/2” masonry bit & drilled a 2.5” hole. Vacuumed dust with shop vac. Had to drill one mounting hole slightly larger. Watch Utube videos on how to install. You can do this & it looks sharp.

Length of railing into the shallow water steps is perfect.

The cover sleeve for the railing is too large and does not fit properly on the railing. The product I am rating is the picture on the left (darker Blue). My neighbors purchased another brand and their rail sleeve is longer and fits properly. Disappointed on how the rail sleeve fits as the velcro isn't properly aligned and doesn't adhere snugly. Will contact seller to see if they have any suggestions or if another sleeve is available. Will update this report when I hear from seller.

Very heavy duty and sturdy when installed and easy to install

It was ok to install but I did not appreciate the yellow sticker with the company name on the base. It was quite hard to remove and it left a film. If it was easy to peel that would be one thing but this was quite annoying. But it is installed and based on other reviews I will need to find something to apply to protect the metal. But it should serve my husband who needs help getting in or out of the pool.

I'd have given this a 5 star except that the included SDS bit is for a \"commercial\" SDS system. My Makita is the size that's bought by \"advanced\" home owners and small contractors. Ended drilling a mid-sized pilot hole with my SDS and then using a Ridgid hammer drill with the bit just chucked into it. Worked OK. I did spend some time getting it exactly where it was out of the way of the pool fence. My neighbor held it in place when I drilled the pilot holes.

Great Price Pool Now More Safe

Great item built with quality. Unfortunately the curved end was into the water. Seems it was to long for my application. Would help to show the distance between the mounting plate and the bottom of the curved end in order to confirm application.
