These make having a pool and cleaning so easy! No sand no backwashing! Any time it’s raining or heavy use I switch the balls out once a week. In the bag you get there are enough for 2 uses. You can just rinse and reuse but I like to run it through the washer. I like this system!

When I bought a sand filter, I decided to use filter balls. These work great - I change them out once a month - put them in the mesh bag (I try to push out as much as the nasty water as I can) then toss them in the washing machine. The only reason I gave it a 4 star instead of 5 is that with so many balls, you really need 2 mesh bags to wash them in. With all of them in one bag they really don't get completely clean with one washing. I had to do 2 cycles - but I have another mesh bag at home so now I divide them up.

15 years of sand can kiss my butt. I put 2 bags of these in the filter and BAM pool was clean. I cannot believe it wook so long for us to discover these. Our pool is crystal clear and less time cleaning and more time swimming. I cannot recommend these enough

Sand or balls

I couldn’t find sand in my area so decided to give these a try. Also the ability to clean them and reuse them was a plus to save me money. They don’t weight as much as the sand does and that’s a plus for me to be able to store them. To use it was easy, Simply open the top and pour in as many as you needed. I haven’t tried a different brand yet so I don’t know if these will work better than other brands.
