I got this to replace an aging pool reel that we have at our family pool. As you may know pool reels are a gamble. Most break within months and usually at the handle or straps. So far this one seems really durable. The metal wheels are nice and sturdy without adding too much weight. It fits our pool cover perfectly and seems like it will last for several years. It is hard to find a good quality reel nowadays but this one seems good. I will update this review if anything goes wrong with it prematurely but so far it seems really good and priced right.

We got this because every year we have to struggle with the solar pool cover, taking it off the pool, folding it and putting it up so it doesn't get damage. This has made that job soooo much easier. Just attach it to the reel and roll it up. Pulls off the reel just as easy. Wish we got this years ago.

This pool cover reel from VEVOR is a pretty good deal. The overall, quality of the product is nice compared to many of the other pool cover reels out there. The hand crank is nice and large making the task of reeling the cover back in quicker and easier because of its size. Assembly is not too hard and overall, easily done. I like the built-in straps and clips which makes it securely attached. This is an upgrade to some of the other products out on the market. The wheels are rubber, but honestly, I would prefer having plastic hubs instead of metal, because over time the chlorine in the pool will start to rust the metal in the hub. The only other thing that I wish was different are the sandbags. They are a little bit cumbersome as anchors during reel operation. I may come up with something else to secure it to the ground that would work better. Outside of that it is a good product and would recommend it at 5 stars for the overall value and competitiveness to others on the market.

Another Vevor win! Their products are usually very good and their customer service is incredible! That keeps me coming back when I see their name. I know that if there's a problem, they'll fix it. I had no issues with this pool reel. It is well made and quite easy to set up and use alone.

The pool cover reel came in quickly and with no issues. The VEVOR Pool Cover Reel is an aluminum solar cover reel that measures up to 18-foot. This inground swimming pool cover reel set comes with rubber wheels and sandbags. This reel fits anywhere from 4 to 18-foot width swimming pools. The reel is strong and very sturdy feeling. The materials used seem to make this durable and long-lasting outside. The only issue that I had was that the assembly instructions were not very clear. It would help if individual pieces were labeled. Other than that, the reel works great. I would recommend this to anyone that needs one, just have patients putting this together and really study the pictures (where the holes are and look forward to making sure the right pieces are in the right place).

Ok this reel made opening our 15’ x 30’ pool a breeze! We highly recommend this product! Easy to use. Remember to roll the cover back out on the grass to wash and use sheets on the inside when you reel it back in to preserve your cover from cracking. Make sure to use the protective cover over the cover and reel while storing. Stores nicely under the deck!!!!

Some online reviews stated that the assembly instructions weren’t very good. I thought they were very clear and pretty simple. The unit does come with the straps for the Solar cover. Comes in 2 separate boxes, one shipped by FedEx, the other by UPS. It was a little confusing because Amazon only listed the FedEx delivery. I contacted the seller about the UPS shipment and they got back to me within a few hours. That box arrived a day later.

The shipment comes in 2 boxes. For me the 2nd box came first and the other box came a day later. If you don’t receive both boxes I would give it a day as mine showed on day 2. This seems to be very well made. Put this together last night. Had to switch some of the pipes around till it fit together. But this is a very nice reel
