I, admittedly, went for one of the cheapest reels that I could find that would handle my solar cover. This thing is very sturdy, and has helped up great! The only issue is when installing the clips with the straps, you have to make sure they are all positioned the same so it doesn’t start pulling up one side before the other making it all crooked. Great product, overall!

Assembly was interesting but I pieced it together and adjusted it by getting in the pool and mounting it. With it mounted I screwed in all the required screws. It hasn't budged since even without the included loctite. Once I got the straps right on the solar cover, it reels up nice and .... Uneven.... But that doesn't matter to me. I like how the cover gathers squeezes water out and the last foot i am able to skim the debris. Highly recommend for solar cover reel. It definitely gets the job done and with only one person.

It works for what I wanted to do. I mounted it on 4 x 4 post.

The product is actually really good for the price and meets my expectations, however it is better after I changed a few things. The distance at the handle is too big, so I inserted a small washer to make it stable. The pre-drilled holes are stupid, the screw sticks up and possibly causes damage to the thermal blanket. They should sit in the recess, as it actually also appears in the manual. I made some myself and the roll was rock solid. The accompanying sandbags stain violently (green color) so they were washed several times in a tub. Do not put them in the washing machine. Otherwise, I am very satisfied with the product.

Pretty easy to put together I would recommend for getting the cover off the pool. I have an odd shaped pool and it works well with that also.

I bought this but was worried about putting a large cover reel together on my own. It was so easy to assemble. It is light enough to easily move around but it is a solid piece of equipment. It’s so nice to have my pool cover stowed neatly on this reel and it easy to unwind it back onto the pool.

All the hardware was well-packaged and labeled, and the finished product is sturdy and up to the task. A couple of words of caution: 1) my kit came without holes drilled in the inner sleeves, so I had to do that myself (use bit rated for aluminum, don't drill straight through the outer sleeve holes or you'll wreck the threading for the screw). 2) Enough wind will overpower the sandbags. We're on Lake Erie and a 30kt gust blew the reel and one of the sandbags with it into the pool, what a mess! BTW, instructions stated \"for above ground pools only\" which is clearly not what they meant to say.
