Very well made Micro Soft Box. I own much more expensive soft boxes and this one is right up there with the quality and functions. Simple to put together and just a couple of clicks to break down. Well worth the Money.

Functional

I was curious if this little softbox would be able to produce good results. I am happy to report it does and the size is so portable that it can go with me nearly everywhere. The softbox is made well. The diffusion materials are good. I am a little puzzled by why the inner diffuser is a square panel and not an octagon, but it produces good results and that’s what matters. The grid is perfectly sized and stretched correctly into place without problems or sagging areas. The reflective material on the inside is good quality and all the stitching is well done and neat. The Bowens mount is great as I can use it on strobes or constant lights. It didn’t take me but a couple minutes to set up and knock down. The carrying bag is nice to have and it is large enough that you can easily get everything back inside. The price point is really good for the quality. I’m considering getting a second one.

This is very much like opening an umbrella. It's easy to open and close, and has a nice bag for storage and travel. The diffusion and illumination are in good proportions, so I really like it.

Pretty tiny softbox that's almost a pain to expand out since it's so stiff, and I'm used to annoyingly heavy duty stuff that requires a lot of elbow grease to get going. The build is all plastic including the mounting plate, so for those who are a little less careful about their gear or weighing down their stands this could be one or two falls away from breaking. The sewing quality is great on it, though oddly the inner baffle is square for an octagon shaped softbox. The light quality from it is more than fine and the portability is pretty awesome. Though I've gotten used to the newer speed open type boxes where the they have engineered ways for the bowen plate to lay sideways so it's a little sad going back to these types of softboxes. This thing would probably be great for run and gun shooters, though I wish for the price you got a metal reinforced bowen mount instead of the hard plastic.

Everything feels good. The little nubs to lock and unlock the arms are a bit stiff but im sure it'll become easier over time and more use. 5/5 stars!!!! PS the Bown mount is plastic, but it's a harder plastic so it should be fine. Its working well so far.

I ordered this because it stated it'd match bowens mount lights, which is what I needed. It did indeed attach as needed to the light and turned a straight RGB video light from a flood to a soft box light, as well as the option to just use the grid diffuser. I've been using it in both configurations depending on when I want color or just white light at different brightness and temperatures.
