Have only used it with 3 sections so far, but it is very sturdy with the way that the pieces connect. Also have only used the saw, and it is very sharp, and the blade is well designed with the hooks on both ends. The case for the blade is also a nice extra. Mice product, would buy again if I need another one.

great pole saw
This is a great pole saw. I love the extra reach. It is pretty hard to handle when fully extended, but once you get the blade on the branch you want to cut, you just saw.

Worth the money with a few issues
First off, don't expect to cut anything significant at 26 foot pole extension. Once I get to around 15 feet, more poles just increase the force required from the ground and control precision is lost at the cutting edge. That said, the overall quality is good with a few issues. Firstly, the pin lock does not always engage fully across all sections of the pole. This can be easily remedied with some filing or sanding at the receiving hole for the pin and no functionality or strength is lost from the joint. Secondly, the blade material may be a little to soft for longevity. Upon receipt, I cut a dozen 3 in and probably two dozen 1-3 in oak branches from a living tree. Upon completion, the very tip of the blade tooth shows a significant rounding and wear of the cutting edge tip. I'm guessing the tips are now around 0.005 \"flat\" whereas a new blade has no flat area on the tips. This blade will require regular sharpening to maintain efficient cutting and I'm not aware that harder and more wear resistant blades are available. However, for the cost outlay, the easy storage and the flexibility of the pole, I am willing to sharpen blades for the short term

A great addition to the garden
This pole saw does exactly what it’s supposed to. Out of reach places are now easily accessible, excellent tool at a great price. Money saved on the very first use.

Pole saw
I was paying $500 a year to trim my palm tree twice a year. After paying just a little over $100 I can see I’m going to save a lot of money at least for a while until the tree is too tall for me. Right now I still have two sections I didn’t attach to the pole. I’m so happy I could just jump for joy.

Exceeded my expectations
Having several name brand pole saws, this is by far the best I've ever owned. The pole sections are strong and the entire assembly fits neatly in the heavy duty carrying bag. I must admit, when fully extended, it's a little limber and heavy to lift in place, but the blades are so sharp, little effort is needed to cut pretty large limbs. I highly recommend this tool.

Amazing tool able to cut branches higher and more efficiently than other pole pruners I have used
After a couple of high $ bids from tree pruning services we invested less than $100 in this tool, which did everything we needed. The length of the segmented pole is increased as needed by adding segments, which is very easy to do. there are two different tools that can be installed on the business end of the pole. One is a conventional bypass pruner actuated with a rope and a short saw similar to typical hardware store pole saws. The other is a larger saw blade with a hook at the end. This blade is very well designed and functional. With this we were able to saw off a 5 inch diameter branch at more than 20 ft elevation without climbing or standing on a ladder, and smaller branches even higher. At the longer extensions the tool gets a bit heavy. I am 76 and in ok shape, and could use it up to about 18 ft extension. My son is stronger and could use it at full extension with some moderate difficulty. Overall the tool is very well designed and constructed. It comes with a spare hook type saw blade and a nice carry/storage case. It is easy to give this 5*.
