This mag drill was actually better than I expected. That being said, the first time I used it the bit kept slipping. Tightened all three points on the chuck and it still slipped. I replaced it with a $40 Jacob chuck and it worked perfectly. My advise is to add a good chuck when you buy.

I used this to drill holes for my new fifth wheel installation. The magnetic base gripped the 4x4 steel angle strongly, and the variable speeds were great for drilling the T1 steel.

Very happy, performed every bit as well as I'd hoped. Arrived safely in a sturdy package and a minor freight hiccup was resolved easily and quickly. Highly recommend it.

I bought the additional drill bit chuck to fit regular drill bits also. Love it!

If you do buy one of these, I strongly suggest pulling the fuse and checking it. Also ensure the brushes are fully installed as in not poking out of the drill body at all as this could result in sparks flying from the drill risking a fire. The one I got had a bad fuse out of the box and kept blowing replacements til I opened the control plate and found that the fuse holder had been mis-wired causing a short. Fixed that and found one of the brushes had worked loose from the stator. Screwed it back in and it now works flawlessly. Beats the everlovin heck out of skating drillbits in a hand drill

Product is definitely worth the money . Has done all I have ask ot the mag drill. For casual use it has worked so for.

Very happy with this purchase. Needed a mag drill for a emergency. Price was unreal and figured it would be a throw away tool. This tool performed excellent. It is running like a champ and seems like it is going to take the pounding and keep performing for years.

It's missing three pieces drill chuck, 3/4 Weldon adapter, and chuck key. I have to pay $50. For the parts tomorrow. Can you please give me a discount for my next magnetic drill press. I'm going to have to drill the small holes.

Drilled 32 1.1/16" through 5/8" think on its side . Used dark threading oil with TCT bit . Magnetic held way better than my old black&decker . Would recommend but this particular one is heavy but the variable speed is nice this one is the 1680w o-300 rpm will not drill as slow as was hoping but still did good have some 1.11/16" holes to drill will check back in

I drilled around 80 5/8 holes with an annular bit, into 5\" steel i beams (10lb/ft). The water-cooling system worked really well. It took very little pressure to drill each hole. It was fast and made a job that seemed daunting very easy! The electric magnet worked really well too; it supported the drill sideways. Only issue is once you put the chuck and a full size bit into the drill, it hangs low. So you have to rig a setup where the drill is on the edge of something and the thing you are drilling is lower.
