I purchased the 48" rake, which comes with a 78" two-piece handle. As a retired engineer, I'm impressed by the overall sturdiness of the rake, everything from the heavier duty box tubing in the rake head to the tip of the handle. I really appreciate the neat welds and finishing. Assembly couldn't have been easier. The hinge bolt was substantial in size, clearance at the insertion holes was appropriate, and the attachment bracket was sturdy enough that I didn't bend it when drawing the nut tight on the bolt. The nuts! There are two, one at the attachment bracket and a smaller one on the bolt connecting the two handle sections. Both are nylon-lined lock nuts, so no washers and repetitive tightening. At almost 15 lbs, this rake is a bit heavier than I'd prefer if the rake were for me, but it was a late Christmas gift for my gardener, and he can handle the 48". My 73 years and short female stature would opt for the 30" model. We used this rake to level sand on my lumpy clay backyard and it did a great job. I may never use it again, but the gardener certainly will. Thank you, Rocklin, for building a product to be proud of.
