Chuck is fine but had to buy a thread insert to fit my lathe as only seem to do one size Chuck insert to a 1"-8tpi

Thread was a little on the loose side, but still preformed quite well, had to use plumbers tape to get a better fit

The engineering and quality of this product is amazing. The only reason for knocking down 1* is that they're not brilliant at answering tech questions ... but then, I think it's because they just sell and don't know anything outside of the product (like so many others) but the product is amazing :)

my new Axminster lathe is great but I did need to have the ability to hold material at one end only for things like bowls. The screw chuck was too damaging to the wood leaving deep screw holes. The Vevor chuck is great quality but not a bad price for a precision device. Good compromise between size and price. I really didn't need any larger. Very happy with my purchase.
