This is my favorite toy! I love splitting wood with this. It doesn't work on all woods, or maybe I need a bigger mallet

Splits firewood so much better than the smaller, less expensive version that I bought last year. Very solid and is taller which makes the split pieces fall away without getting stuck in the unit. Love it.

I have a recreational fire pit in our yard. I finally got to use this splitter yesterday. Did up the kindling no problem. I even tested it it with knotted birch and it required an extra wack but went through it without a hitch. After many years of a stump, axe, and careful aim chopping wood and kindling, I can say this made it so much more easy and quick. Yes I like this product!

I use my fire pit almost every night, and this makes cutting kindling super easy. I had some scrap 2x10 pieces so I made a base that I mounted it to with the supplied lag bolts. No reason to think it won't last for years.

Make sure you have at least a 4lb. Hammer and a place to secure it to.

It helped to bolt it to a heavy board for stability
