Good product but not perfect.
I liked that it is sturdily built and when installed it seems strong. There are 2 things I didn't like: 1. The main posts are open at the top but no drainage holes at the bottom so when water gets in it will stay in and probably cause rusting. I did drill a holes myself at the lowest part of the side and there was already a bit of rusty water. I sprayed a bit of anti-rust paint on the exposed metal. This was not difficult to do and I would recommend doing this unless the manufacturer has a good reason for designing it this way, which I can't figure why. 2. On my 4 steps installation some of the bars are not perfectly vertical. It's noticeable to me but casual observers would probably not notice. Overall, I would still recommend it.

These railings are very good. I wish the directions had words on them however. I have purchased these several times and have kind of figured out how they work. I'm still left with eight screws at the end for some reason and I don't know what those are for. The directions are only diagrams so I have nothing to refer to. Plus the last two I purchased I had to trim and drill the railings on the side to make them fit. Overall a very good product except for those few items.

We ordered these handrails and had them installed on our front steps of our home. I was very pleased with the quality/durability of the handrails. I have already recommended them to other friends who are looking to upgrade the steps into their homes. The icing on the cake is the reasonable price …Definitely would recommend buying!

Quality railing, installation instructions lacking detail
Railing quality and packing very good. Lags and installation details poor. I used 2 different lags that the nut can be removed after installing to locat railing. I made cardboard templetes to drill, but location off enough that I had to open up some railing holes. Looking back I should have started drilling holes with railing in place after 1st 2 lags in place. Appearance is as good or better than iron railings I had professionally fabricated and installed on other porch.

1-2 step stair railing
These railings came with instructions that were very very difficult to understand. You will need a 10mm masonry drill bit if attaching to concrete. 3/8 inch drill bit will not do. I did not like the way the pickets lined up. The pickets in the middle are angled at an angle and the will not be straight. The curls on the ends are large and will hold water (rain) so in the future there may be eventual rusting. A less prominent curving would allow water to drain. The hand rail on the top is very short. Better instructions and labeling the pieces should be included in the future.

Superior Product-inferior anchors
The railing is beautiful, sturdy, power coated, easily assembled. The issue that we ran into was the anchor bolts that were provided. The anchor bolts looked good, but when we tried to use them; they would not truly adhere to the drilled hole. We originally used a 7/16 Masonary drill bit and although the anchors were snug, they just slipped out when any pressure was applied. We ended up going to Home Depot and getting Redhead sleeve anchors and drilled a bigger hole (1/2”) -maybe other people have better luck with the different types of attachments provided. If you’re going into concrete, just go to the store ahead of time and buy some anchors that will make the banister as secure as it is awesome. Well worth the money!

This handrail was a lot stronger than I thought. Hardly no movement at all. Happy with this product

The rails installed very well and are very stable. They look nice at the front of our house. Did have to cut the height down to be at a comfortable height.

Really beautiful finished product. Lots of compliments on how beautiful and sturdy it is. The most difficult part of this project is drilling mounting holes into concrete/masonry/brick. You absolutely need masonry bits, and while a hammer drill isn’t 100% necessary, it will help you drill the eight needed holes much more quickly/easily. I recommend purchasing a set of sleeve anchors separately; the kit comes with some, but I didn’t care for them at all; my Hillman sleeve anchors (costing less than $15 separately) works much, much better for me. Do not worry that most other sleeve anchors will protrude a tad more as you tighten them down. The finish cap will cover the anchors entirely. The included “instructions” are mostly a couple exploded diagrams showing what screw goes where; do not expect them to provide any guidance on what size masonry bit to use (3/8”). There will be a LOT of brick/concrete dust in the holes that needs to be blown out or vacuumed out. An N95 mask would be a good idea when blowing out or vacuuming the dust, as you do not want to inhale it. I recommend assembling (loosely) the balusters to the top and bottom rails, but let things swing freely so that it’s easy to line everything up once your posts are firmly locked down to the top and bottom step. Due to some unevenness on one of my steps, I had to use a couple extra washers under one of the posts so that it would still be level when locked down. If you’re like me, you will be impressed with how nice the finished railing looks and how solid it feels. I’m very happy with my purchase.
