Searched for a while in the new and second-hand markets for an anvil. There are lots of YouTube reviews on this, too. Consensus - you won't find a better performing anvil for the price. I'm new to the craft, but very happy with the purchase so far.

Vevor single horn anvil
There is a good weight to this anvil, the striking surface is hard with good rebound. The only problem I have with this anvil is the amount of casting material left inside both the hardy and pritchel holes. Either a better casting job, or some cleanup of these holes would be much appreciated.

This was a gift.My son likes it. A bonus in his foray in blacksmithing. I found this item after watching a review of John At Old Hickory Forge.

For a little anvil it does what you would expect a chunk of steel to do. My only complaint is that there is no hardy hole. I purchased this along with the forge as something to just get me started and it has helped me tremendously in making the other tools I need to use the forge. So as a starter anvil it's a good start and will handle anything you hammer on it easily, just make sure to secure it down to something like a large stump because it is small and it doesn't take much to get it bouncing around, but once secured down, it's rock solid and I love it.

Very useful
I am a hobby metal worker and this anvil has worked amazing for what I do. It's not a forged blacksmith anvil but it performs perfectly for the hobby or budget metal smith

Nice lump of iron for the price
It is what it is - a big heavy lump of cast iron with a couple of holes and the top machined flat. I don't do blacksmithing, but I use it to cold form metal - lay it on there and hit it with a hammer. Please take it straight down the shed - if you leave it in the hallway a cat might run under your feet causing you to slip/kick it and break a bone in your foot. Ask me how I know.

Great anvil for the price. I purchased this anvil to use as a demonstration anvil at shows. It works wonderfully and has a nice hard surface with good rebound. Perfect anvil for someone just getting started.

Good but for a total noob beginner but if I had my time again I would have gone slightly bigger it shipped east enough though and I have made a good mount for it
