I use it to see the studs in the walls, can also see drainage pipes.. Works much better than a stud finder. Works better when there's a bigger temperature difference between inside and outside the house

This particular thermal camera model SC240M is fantastic! It's build quality is professional and feels really solid when held. It's performance is exceptional and competes with other brands that are vastly more expensive. The 240x180 display resolution is more than adequate and the 20 fps (frames per second) is very fast and doesn't create too much lag when panning around. The sensitivity is great as can be seen in the thermal image of my footsteps left behind when walking barefoot quickly on carpet. My main use was to find faults in our house's insulation which it does well. The only downside is that it mustn't be charged for more than four hours when flat as the charging circuit doesn't drop down to trickle charging when fully charged. This just requires a little care when charging, otherwise the battery may be damaged. Checkout Youtube reviews.

This Thermal imaging Camera is honestly incredible for the cost, the entire product from the packaging to the unit itself. It is rugged and tough, feels really good in your hands and I do not doubt the quality for a moment. USB-C charging is a big plus, so far it has lasted hours on one charge. The acuracy and resolution of the display is extremely good given the low comparitive cost to others on the market. I have absolutley no reservations recommending this unit to anyone requiring thermal imaging capacity. Perhaps the only thing to note as a drawback is the time it takes to turn on, probably about 60 seconds. Not a problem for most uses, but not ideal if you want to grab it and measure something instantly. That being said I have no clue what other comparative units take to "warm up" and given the awesome battery life, if I ever need available I just turn it on beforehand and leave it on.

This Thermal imager is awesome! I have previously purchased two different Thermal imagers which connect to my phone one was the FLIR, the other was Unit One if memory serves me. Both of these were good. The FLIR unit was the best of the two. However this Vevor unit is so superior to the other two units it is trying to compare a sardine to a blue fin tuna, or charcoal and cheese. The difference in detail and clarity of the image between this top Vevor thermal imager is amazing. The build quality of this unit is extremely good and feels very solid and well made. I had already purchased two other thermal imagers which connects to my phone (which is required for each units app to be downloaded for enable the use of these units and I found the FLIR unit to be the best of the two. However when I saw the top Vevor thermal imager I took a chance and purchased it. Once received I tested it and compared it to the other two. With our any doubt the Vevor unit was superior, better images, clarity, detail battery life and ease of use is in favour of the top Vevor thermal imager. The only down side of this unit is its size and weight, however this only relevant when comparing to the two small (and convenient sized) phone based thermal imagers. Sure these units using my phone for the screen means a larger image compared to the Vevor thermal imager, however the detail, clarity and refresh rate Is much superior in the Vevor unit. I will take some photos and update my post shortly.

Works well sometimes slightly fuzzy but good for the price paid.nicely made handy carry case to store it in.

I've owned a couple of prior Flir 165 and 165x camera's. The 165X was a game changer with the camera background. This one from Vevor is just that bit better again, a bit bigger but trade off for bigger screen. Happy with the cheaper price than Flir also. Would recommend for someone who wants a good usable thermal camera but doesn't want to spend the big bucks. It's not a toy, does what I want to do which is check for hotspots on PCB's, machines, actuators etc.

I purchased the Thermal Imager by Vevor to track water penetration in our Motel. Simple instructions, easy to use. Images can be saved with a time stamp. An excellent product. Highly recommended!
