Love this auger. Milwaukee drill worked just fine. Just keep it in low speed and do not go full speed on the trigger right away. Let ot get started and then squeeze the trigger some more. Goes through very fast just like the videos. Was using a 5.0 battery and drilled about 15 holes and barely used the battery life. Perfect making holes inside the ice huts. No exhaust smoke from gas auger. Love the safety plate on top incase your auger comes off the drill. Never worry about losing it down the hole. Blade was really sharp and jas a center spike to keep your auger from going all over the place. With just a couple nuts and bolts the 2 blades come off and can be easily replaced when they become dull.

Great auger for my drill for ice fishing. Good price compared to buying a battery powered ice auger.

This auger bit works well. It works well with a standard drill. It cuts ice relatively quickly, with a smooth hole.

Works very well if you have a good drill. Need a high torque model and the side stabilizing attachment really helps. I have M18 Fuel and it quickly ran several holes through hard clear ice. The 8" really helps get bigger fish pulled up through, or keeping your transducer out of the way. I prefer chipper style blades for longevity but these are still razor sharp after a few dozen holes. Have not used extention.

Compared it side by side with a 7.5" k-drill using the same Milwaukee drill. This auger is more difficult to center and wants to wander before it begins to cut ice. It also requires much more torque than the k-drill and chatters and stops while drilling. I am returning it.

I took the ice drill auger out today and must say very pleased. I took with me 2 drills to try. One 20v Porter Cable the other a DeWalt XR 20v. Both drills powered thru 12" ice. But the DeWalt XR is definitely the way to go. I bought the 6" auger for searching fish location. This auger is as good as any at a much less price (Cuts with ease). If your thinking 8" model buy it as it will drill with ease. For the money its the best. I'd recommend the DeWalt XR 20v or Milwaukee Fuel 20v drill for driving the auger. Good luck fishing. Bought this for my standard dewalt drill (no side handle or anything). I have an ass kicking 9 AH battery for it and have drilled about 50 holes in 8” ice. It’s fast, convenient and makes me want to ice fish more.

This auger is well designed, manufactured, and functions just the same as other known brand names out there. This 8” auger cuts through 12-14” of black hard ice in less than 8 seconds every time when using a 3/4” side handle 20V rechargeable drill.

Used on 3 occasions this year and this definitely cuts ice well. The unit is light and compact compared to augers with powerheads. No issues so far.
