I absolutely love this Vevor Ice Shaver. Like other reviewers have said, (about the smaller version of this with only 2 blades), pieces of ice do tend to fly out as you’re gently pulling down on the lever which feeds the ice in the hopper thru the 4 blades, but that’s the only negative thing I have to say about it and I just have a hand towel nearby. I think it’s important to mention that the description for this machine on Amazon states that you can use small or large ice cubes but the booklet that is included says,’this machine is suitable for shaving SMALL ice cubes….larger ice cubes may cause the machine to jam or even burn out motor’….. So, hopefully the following will give you an idea of how much and what size ‘cubes’ you can use..I make my ice cubes in the cupcake sized silicon ice cups; I put about 10 of those in a gallon ziplock then take a hammer to it, making each ‘ice cupcake’ roughly into fourths..THEN I have my scoop and will end up filling the hopper with ice about 4 times. After 2 hoppers full, I will dump that ‘snow’ into a gallon ziplock, (since the supplied metal bowl is pretty shallow), & then continue with my last 2 hoppers full of ice, one hopper at a time tho.. This machine seems to be built well. I’ve had no problems with it shimmy-ing on the table..I use a gentle pull down on lever because I’m hoping that will keep the blades stronger/sharper longer. It does come with one new replacement blade. I can’t help going on and on cause I just love it! I’ve used it 2-3 times every day since I got it, about ten days ago(?)
