Great Price, Poor Documentation
The hose reel is a bit too light and tends to tip or turn when pulling hose from a distance. I may remove the wheels to improve functionality but that will also lower the crank handle to a less desirable height. The assembly instructions and description of the unit are incorrect. There are no painted or powder coated parts and the instructions don't match the parts list. Assembly took about 30 minutes using the sketch of the product and parts list. I suspect that assembly could be an issue for some. The parts fit together well but were not as rigid as I'd like - tightening the bolts a few extra turns to compress the framing joints improves stability. The assembled unit is as expected. The height of the hose connection above the reel could be improved as it may cause the hose to kink if pulled too tight at the first turns of hose so leave a little slack. The hose reel arrived in a box labeled \"Pressure Washer Hose Reel\" and there was a large hole in it. I was worried that parts would be missing or the fittings were not garden hose compatible but all was well. I'm happy with the purchase and price and hope to get several years of use from it.

Love these
Bought 2 of these for my 2 separate 100’ hoses and I love these things, I wish they had a way to lock the wheels from turning but no big deal

Seems Like a Good Deal
I had two plastic hose reels, one broke and was unrepairable. I saw this and for the price I couldn't pass it up. It was delivered on time and the only complaint I have is the box was noticeably damaged but the only damage that occurred was to the drum which was dented. I figured you don't see it after rolling a hose up so I didn't bother saying anything. I assembled it and rolled my up and everything seems to work just fine. I'll see how long before it rusts which would be my only concern since it's steel.

Works for me!
The hose reel works as expected. I have a 100’ hose on it and it could up just fine. Not sure that a 250’ would fit though. Only downside is the wheel clips seem to pop off occasionally, but I’ll spend a few bucks to buy better clips.

Directions not great.
This got here earlier than expected. Directions were hard to understand and vague. But I figured it quickly enough. Can't beat the price, compared to others. Will update after I use it for awhile and it falls apart or rusts out.

Best hose reel for the price
This is a great deal, but you’ll have to assemble it yourself. With a little skill, you can save a bundle!

Hose reel good for the price.
First off the price was very attractive compared to others similar to this reel . I decided to chance the purchase and order this one. It arrived safe and sound with no missing hardware . The directions are ok and common sense would be only needed for assembly which took me about 35 minutes. I used a 10mm combination wrench, a small electric impact with 10 mm socket and a plain flat head screwdriver. The welds look crappy , paint was fine , everything went together very easily . I can see this rusting easily though if left outside like most people intend to do as there are multiple places for rain water to enter the frame tubing , I used electrical tape to \"seal\" some of the areas on the handles but water will easily get into all the areas where the screw holes are. I suggest drilling some small holes on the very bottom of the frame to left water run out. The handle area is not tight fitting and wobbles some no matter how tight you tighten the bolts . I have 200 feet of very heavy 1 inch contactor grade hose on it. And it handles the weight easily. If and when the hose rotaing/seal area wears out ,like they all do regardless of the price paid, i can easily re make that area better and use the rest as is. I rate this as \"good\" for the price I paid.
