I read the posted reviews here before deciding on the Vevor 48\" farm style jack. One review stated the up down lever failed right away. I did not see any defects in the lever on mine, it functions correctly. Right out of the box the lever required considerable effort to move to lowering position, a small amount of wheel bearing grease improved ease of use greatly. I did grease the main pins, the 2 that make it function. The two nubs to lock handle on storage position needed lube too. Several times I saw instructions were reviewed negatively, this was not an issue for me. The instructions that came with unit were adequate, and feel that anyone could read and understand. I also purchased a base and handle keeper from Seven Sparta. The handle keeper fits over the main upright but does not fit over the rubber grip in Vevor handle. The metal base on Jack is just a bit to wide for Seven Sparta base stand, see picture. I may remove Jack base and see if bending the angled sections more will improve the base fit. Arrived decently packaged, fully assembled with foam blocks securing. All in all I think it is a good value, for a tool I hope not use off roading, but believe will do the tasks it is designed to do.
