Hardware seems very rugged and well built with good overall quality. Installed this on an East Marine Godiac 320 Rigid Inflatable Boat (RIB). The hardest part of this project was removing the old cable steering. The hydraulic cylinder and linkage was simple to install on my 2022 Tohatsu 20HP outboard and correctly adjust to center steering range. The steering pump shaft mated perfectly to my original steering wheel and fit in the original hole in the helm. In my opinion, the small boat manufacturers would save enough money on installation to pay for this as original equipment instead of the cable steering which, in my experience, always binds up and corrodes. The manual was not very helpful, but I learned everything I needed from watching a few DIY Youtube videos. Just be careful when you are filling hydraulic fluid to NOT inject air into the system. I used ISO 46 hydraulic fluid from an auto parts store.
