Heavy duty affordable Winch
I ordered this because I am always needing to load heavy objects onto a trailer for hauling. This helps get that job done much easier. It seems well put together, the tow strap is very durable and can easily manage the weight limit. The metal body is a sturdy construction and the cranking handle grip is made of plastic but seems as if it will hold up. The standard hook has a spring loaded latch for locking onto items to be towed and is very durable as well. It's well worth the price.

Buy the largest weight capacity. Buy a waterproof cover if it will be outside.
Review for VEVOR Hand Winch, 3500 lbs Pulling Capacity, Boat Trailer Winch Heavy Duty Rope Crank with 33 ft Polyester Strap. This winch feels substantial. You do have to do a bit of assembly by adding the handle. I like that it has 2 different speeds. I really like the safety clip on the hook, as that keeps straps from popping out of the hook. The winch cranks smoothly and easily. We have a heavier duty, motorized cable winch on our large trailer, which we have used to do things like pull small sheds or cars up onto a trailer. So I thought that this winch would be a good winch to add to our small trailer. Since this small trailer doesn't hold as much weight, a manual winch works well. Some tips: 1) Your winch is only as good as the frame that you attach it to. We bolt our winches to the metal frame of our utility trailer. 2) Get a waterproof cover for your winch (if your winch won't be in a covered garage when not in use). You want to keep the sun and moisture off of the strap, as those will shorten the strap's lifespan. 3) The hook on the winch needs something to hook to. That something also needs to be rated to pull heavy weights. I suggest having some chain or a winch strap (tow strap) on hand to wrap around trees or other odd-shaped items that you want to move. You can buy tow straps on Amazon in different lengths with loops on each end. Just make sure that the winch's hook will easily clip to the chain or strap. 4) Remember that this winch is for horizontal pulling. I'm happy with this purchase, as a lot of times I have wished that we had a winch on the smaller utility trailer. And now I do have one.

I Needed A Small Winch For A Utility Trailer
I looked at the various size options, both the physical size and the available load capacity. For the utility trailer, this 1200lb version with the strap is still overkill. But the cost is very reasonable, and I'd rather have a little extra capacity and avoid any possible 'not-enough' options. The trailer itself has a 1200lbs weight limit, so this one is \"just right\". It's quite compact, mounts easily with 3/8\" hardware, has decent gear reduction pieces, and the strap is better for my use than a cable.

Good value
Very nice little trailer boat winch, the gears look very strong, the mechanism looks logical. The handle is cranked and very labor-saving. I will order it again.
