I recently came across a 20 foot aluminum trailer for a good price. It didn't come with any winch on it though, so that's where this came in. While it wasn't really needed for what I would be generally using the trailer for, it's better to have one and not need it than need it and not have it. The strap on it is plenty long to cover the entire distance of the trailer and then some. It's easy to switch back and forth from free spinning to geared cranking. Couple of U-bolts and several nuts and the thing is solid. It'll get the job done for just about any boat, utility vehicle, skidoo or whatever else you're looking to load onto a trailer.

This is a very high quality winch that lives up to the hype! It is well designed and constructed. There is a simple lever that releases the crank, allowing the strap to slide freely to let out the line. The lever is easy to operate, large enough to work with gloves on, and doesn't bind. Drawing in is as simple as sliding the handle onto the post, and cranking. There are two gears, one that draws in much faster, and the other that provides a tremendous amount of torque, allowing very heavy objects to be pulled in easily. Switching gears is done by sliding the handle off one post and sliding it on the other post. This is fantastic in winter for pulling a vehicle out of the ditch, or great for pulling in a boat. It's really handy and versatile, and easy to transport. Great product!

Purchased to mount on ATV trailer. Plenty of strength, easy to mount, love the strap vs a cable. Nice size and easy to use. I can't think of a reason you'd want or need a different brand. Would absolutely buy again for any need.

I got this for my husband to use for our business. I didn’t pay attention (nothing new) to the size. When it arrived I thought it was a bit big but hubby says it’s not the size but how it’s used! He really likes the detachable handle and the fact that there is a strap and not cables really impress this strap guy!! He has found multiple uses that are out of the ordinary for this and is looking forward to years of use and enjoyment from this winch.

So far, this thing is working great. It has nice thick metal. Everything about it looks sturdy. I've used it to pull some heavy loads, though perhaps not 3500lbs yet.

Can be set to safety operation (clicking/locking) on each revolution so you don't get any nasty surprises when raising or lowering heavy items 7. The winch has a two crank setup for gross operation (large gear) or fine operation (small gear) so you can get just the right lift with the least effort and risk. 8. Nice spring loaded hook so nothing falls off the hook (when properly clipped) 9. Strong strap could wrestle Jaws out the ocean 10. Long offset handle clips onto the spindles and offers e cell3nt leverage and comfortable operation. Cons: None Vevor has done it again! This time they've created a sturdy, easy to operate and secure manual winch that will last!

The winch seems beefy for my 1 ton trailer. I bought this to serve as an emergency means to load my lawnmower, golf cart, etc. Having a loading ramp is all well and good but this little guy is the ticket. With a nice garage steel use for construction, I would think a much larger payload than 1200lbs would be needed to distort the winch. The powder coating and factory label were not the best, looking to have been played with by a bobcat on the shop floor one night. Other than that, which I deducted one star for, the winch will function as designed.

This is a replacement winch for my boat trailer. I went up a size, just in case. Fit the trailer well, dual speed is a nice feature and the strap seems like good quality and the stitching for the hook is solid.

I got this for our jet ski trailer as the existing winch no longer locks and the strap is looking pretty ratty. I just got the winch today and although I have yet to install or use it I can't foresee any issues with either the installation or operation. It looks well built and I did operate it (though not under load) but I'm sure it'll work out great. Since our jet ski is only about 600lbs this winch will never be worked hard but I think it would be fine if pushed closer to its weight limits. If I have any issues when I actually install and use it I'll update this reveiw, but I'm not expecting any problems.
