Good quality, but the O ring center arrives flat

I liked the idea of this garage door seal: a piece in the center to keep the seal itself from collapsing and remaining flat after the door closes. Sounds good, right? Well, theory and reality are two different things. This item arrives rolled up, like a snail's shell, with the 'T' portions flat, and then it's rolled up on itself, flattening the 'O' ring center piece in the process. When I rolled it out to make sure the size was correct for the width of my garage door, I soon realized that the 'O' ring wasn't going to be as O shaped as I hoped, and it was more like a pancake. Now, does that mean this door seal is bad? No, it doesn't. It's a pretty good quality door seal, with a bit thicker rubber than what my garage door originally came with. If you wanted to try to reconstitute the O ring, some online how-to videos suggest trying to stuff an appropriate circumference foam rod into the 'O', but that seems pretty difficult to do. Watch some YouTube videos on how to do this and you'll have an easy time of replacing your existing seal.

Tough to Install Alone, but...

This was a much needed update my garage needed. It was tough to install, even with silicon WD40, but once it was in the grooves by about a couple feet, it stopped slipping out of said grooves. I can see why we they suggest two people to install, but I did with as one. You will push and pull for maybe 20 to 30 minutes, but when it is done, the seal will be the reward that you have earned. It appears to be of good quality. The first couple inches of one of the gripping sides did rip when I tried to get it in the track, but as I said, after that, it went on about as smooth as it could be. I was a bit rough with the install by pulling and stretching, but the 3 inches forward 2 inches back routine does pay off in about the time I stated.

Very good, but the short aluminum tracks take some skill to keep all in line to feed the soft rubber seal in.

I had to customize mine to fit. Bought some 1/2 metal screws and fitted the track to the bottom of the door. Pulling the rubber through the tracks were a bit of a headache as halfway through it ripped a little and would continue to fall out. I ended up cutting sections and it slid right in. However this left gaps, so wouldn’t recommend cutting.
