My son loves his step stool he likes to be in the kitchen with me and it makes him the perfect height to watch me. It is well-made the instructions to assemble were good.

I bought this for my grandkids to use while visiting. They most definitely prefer it to a high chair as they can be right up to the counter with everyone else. The only thing to keep in mind is that if you have a tall child (as one of mine is), the stool is then impractical as they tower over the counter.
