I can't compare it to professional cutters that cost much more but this one is light weight well built and considering the price it is excellent. It is sharp, light, quick to put together and pull apart, not taking too much space when stored.

Ordered 3 different flooring cutters from Amazon along with this one. The vevor was not only the lowest priced, but most functional. I was completely surprised how smooth it cut (8mm SPC flooring - the harder stone core flooring) and how well it was constructed. Completed about 1,000sf and blade still cuts smoothly. Comes with sharpening stone but would like to know if blade is compatible with others on Amazon or if Vevor has one. HIGHLY Recommend - do not hesitate. BTW- I have had very good luck with Vevor products esp industrial grade items. Even installed a Vevor exhaust hood for a remodel job and it was very good for price (except the tacky label they put on it).

Worked flawlessly on about 900 sq. ft. of laminate. Very well built. Don't buy an expensive laminate blade for your, get this instead. Much faster and much less mess.

This is a great product. I am remodeling my basement and it makes cutting the flooring easy. Features are great. Only comment would be if there was an alignment mark to help ensure straight cuts when not using the alignment guide. I added a sharpie mark as a guide and it was a help but it was not perfect.

I am doing a big remodel on our main level and one of the items is to replace the carpet with vinyl plank flooring. I did the upstairs using the vinyl plank and it has held up well so we decided to do the whole house with this product. On the upstairs project the flooring went down fast except for the end cuts. You had to measure then measure on the plank and put a mark. Use the square to draw a line across the plank. Score down the line with a razor blade and then snap the plank. Very time consuming. So when I saw the Vevor Floor Cutter I decided to order it and give it a try. Here are my thoughts on this tool: PROS: 1) This is a pretty heavy tool that can handle some abuse. 2) It is easy to set up and gives consistent transverse cuts of the flooring. The blade needs to be kept sharp, but with proper blade sharpening it did a very good job on the transverse cuts taking a time consuming task and making it much faster and easier to accomplish. Note: I did not use this for longitudinal cuts. There just is better methods for doing those long cuts. 3) It certainly saved time on installing a floor, even if you account for the time used to sharpen the blade periodically. CONS: 1) This tool is bulky and hard to store. It really should come in its own case for those periods of not being used. When I am done with my project I might give this tool away since my tool storage space is limited and I really do not know of a good way to store it until I need it again. 2) I don't know about other materials but vinyl dulls the blade pretty quickly. I am sharpening the blade after each days use (depending on how hard I go at it on a given day). But with that said it is not hard to remove and sharpen the blade. CONCLUSION: I like this tool. It has some limitations, but using it just for the transverse style cutting it works very well and saves time. The key to this tool is keeping the blade sharp. If they sold this tool with a carrying case that would certainly improve the tool. RA

This is very good product and I would buy it again, I have one comment which is about accuracy, it is not easy to cut strait line when the plank is long.

Fantastic tool to use, worked ok with 8mm thick laminate no problem. Decent enough end cut. No dust or noise. I always slowly pushed down on lever. Never tried cutting laminate length wise. I’d rather use a fein osc saw. The only recommend is use a rubber mat beneath it, so as you don’t mark your floor underneath and to stop it sliding around.

Took a long time before I got to use it but it's great. The blade that comes with it is extremely sharp. It can handle wide planks. It really is good.
