We flooded 3 times in 6 months during severe thunderstorms; twice in one weekend. We deploy 8 of the 9 we bought. Our home is 900 feet from the road and 10 feet lower than the road. Four acres of pasture rainwater was more than one drainpipe could handle. Three of these barriers created a temporary catch basin until an actual basin was dug out and encircled by the dirt AND a new drain pipe added under the driveway. Two other barriers kept flooding rainwater on the neighbor’s property.. Three other barriers encircled our back porch which is now a walled in part of the house. They may stay there for the rest of my life. Only one improvement needed. Use welded heavier gauge D-rings and allow us to order replacement caps or affix a tether to the cap.

Nice quality box
Opening this box up I was surprised it was completely unassembled. I marked it down for beginner friendly-ness just due to the amount of assembly involved, and how it could be easy to make a mistake that is not repairable while attempting to assemble. Once assembled, it seems pretty sturdy! We are excited for bees to begin making their home!

Durable and easy to deploy
I can't say how well it will work. I live in Florida and have been very fortunate with the tropical weather. If I need to use this I'll update the review.

What a great idea. Lightweight and easy to manoeuvre until you fill it with water then it won't budge. We live on creage at the bottom of a hill and the recent rains has caused minor flooding. This has been fantatic at redirecting the water away from our house and shed. will be looking to buy a few more. Highly recommend, with the recent wet weather on the east coast - so much easier than sandbagging. 5 stars

Great brood box and a great price!!
Easy assembly and all parts came with no issues. Great brood box for the price and would definitely buy again. I like the clear window but don’t forget to take off the plastic liner line I did!

Exactly what they offered
The brood box came disassembled. Looks very easy to put together. Instructions included. Note that this IS just the brood box, no screens or bottoms.

Perfect for beginners!
Im a beginning beekeeper, still learning everything I can before I get any bees. And one thing I know for sure is that bees need a place to live. So I ordered this box, and it was the best order ever! First off, be ready for the delivery. The box is a bit heavier than it looks. But it has every piece you need, all of the fasteners, & clear instructions. All you need is a hammer & screwdriver. Being a beginner, I absolutely loved this! You actually assemble all 10 frames & the main box. Here's your chance not only work with your hands and assemble something you can be proud of, but to understand what you're actually creating- what each component does or doesn't do, scale or material they need to be made from, etc. It's truly amazing what a value this little package is! My only word of warning is this- tighten down the plexiglass window by hand, not with a cordless drill. It will tighten down way too fast and crack the window. The good news is, I learned how wonderful there customer service department is! My new part should be here soon! Quality is amazing. Good morning potential is not the charts. I'm looking forward to many years of use (and gallons of honey) from this beehive! I would definitely (& already have) suggested and recommended this beehive from the seller! Happy beekeeping!

Worth the money
Ordered the 1ft wide/24 ft long model. Helped to protect my doorway and garage from recent floods. Might eventually get afew more to protect the rest of the house.

Assembly wasn't as daunting as it seemed
When I opened the box and saw the many pieces of wood, I was a little intimidated by the thought of assembling this box but once I started to tackle it, it wasn't too bad, took me maybe about an hour. Everything did go together nicely, and the wood does seem to be actual cedar as promised. It is not a full kit though, there is no top or bottom and you do need more parts to truly use this item as is explained further in the item description.

This works for my use case
We needed a semi-permanent spring through summer solution to rainy years. Water runs down the hill from the neighborhood and if it rains hard enough the water runs up against our foundation and the basement leaks. This is due to previous owners adding too much fill to the lawn when they removed a swimming pool in the 90s. I figured how to stop the problem from happening by using Quick Dams that puff up on demand. But the price of those is too high compared to owning this reusable PVC tube. The material is nice enough. I was mostly concerned with how thin it was, but it's reinforced PVC kind of like the floor of a nice tent or a life raft. It's nicer than your kid's inflatable wading pool, so my worries were relieved when I took it out of the box. It comes with two black pieces which I assume are patches. The 'wings' it comes with I will not be using, but they're yellow and can be kept to use as patches. I'm sure rubber cement will work well to fix this if needed. Most of the negative reviews are people trying to stop a one-time event and then drain and remove the thing. I plan on inflating in April and leaving until July. I didn't have any problems filling it with my garden nose. Make sure the filler it pointed up and that it's at the highest level and you can get the whole thing to fill all the way. I got the yellow one because it won't get as hot in the sun hopefully, but now we have a giant 24 foot lawn banana. But it's a necessary evil to keep my house dry for the time being until I win the lottery and can call out heavy earth moving companies to swale and tile my back yard.
