It takes a bit of effort to put together but once it's done it's pretty solid. For the $$ I would think no assembly required.

Great Cover
We bought this cover for our gas fire pit. Rain water would puddle in the middle of the fire pit. This cover prevents that from happening. Works great stays in place totally prevent that from happening. We put this cover on then the cloth cover over it. Works perfectly

How well it works. Opens an closes easily and keeps the smallest of embers in.
Not easy to assemble. Definitely need two people and gloves. A lot of sharp edges and wire ends.
