Worked perfectly on my 1987 Camaro. I supported the engine for 2 weeks to remove the crossmember to have it sandblasted and painted and to install new motor mounts. Winter project.
Not the sturdiest brace I've ever used, but for the price it does the job and saved me a lot of money. I wouldn't trust the chains, but the rest is good.
The lifting element has a nice ball bearing setup. This allowed me to lift my m54 up a few inches with no stress. Made it easy. Sup strong. Heavy duty.
I used this while doing the clutch on my VW Jetta. It handled the weight of the engine easily. Was very easy to assemble and was easy to use. It came packaged very well too.
needed a cross bar when replacing the clutch in my front wheel drive car,bar is sturdy, and well made.rubber feet help to keep from scratching the car.i suggest using a light grease on the thrust bearings before use.
