This is a very good rotational disc sander. The downside is that it’s a little heavy for ceiling sanding (I’m 60 + years old), but the efficiency of the unit outweighs the weight factor. Dust will be minimal if you use a good high volume shop vac with a portable dust collector. I sanded a 13’ x 15’ room, all four walls and the ceiling with one medium grit disc. The disc I used smoothed out the rough roller stipples in the original paint coat to allow for a smoother surface prep for my finish prime and paint films. The LED light provides ample lighting and there is a disc rotation speed control adjustment switch to accommodate your needs. Sanding walls with this unit is a breeze. The only hand finish sanding I needed to do was at corner interfaces because there is a small gap between the dust containment brush on the sander and the disc. This sander paid for itself vs. my time and labor on the ceiling alone, it is a great unit and even has several sanding discs along with gloves, collection bag (not very efficient), and replacement brushes included. I would advise blowing out the motor head until with compressed air to remove any fallen dust between uses. This will ensure the longevity of your sander. Great Unit and well worth the price!

Hooked a small shop vac up to it and used a 60 grit pad to knock down popcorn ceiling texture. so much easier than steam and peeling.

found this product very efficient to use .a little heavy for ceiling sanding but when you have multiple repairs it is much quicker with this unit even less than half the time .i bought some more open sanding discs as normal discs clog up too soon

This is a pretty good machine, but I find it fairly heavy and I would only be able to use for a short time before the weight made me stop.

It does take some effort to learn to use well. No extra discs but 10 hole 9 inch discs are plentiful on the web. I use 60 grit for the ceiling or you will be all day. I use a shop vac to gather the powder which clogs often because it is so fine. Patience will get the job done. I was quoted $1,000 to sand two room ceilings so I bought this. Also, don’t tilt the head after you have been using this, the powder that isn’t vacuumed does spill all over.

The vaccume motor on the head is too heavy and makes the head flop horizontally wen u lift it up to the ceiling And the attachment on the hose doesn’t fit a normal wet and dry vacuum U have to connect ur own Other then that it’s a good little machine Buy it 100%

I've been doing drywall for years and have bought many different devices to help sand -----this is the first one that does not get everything dusty ----I've only used this one time so far ---but I like it

The sander worked great. A but heavy when going high and overhead. Vacuum was great, need to slowly pull off surface to not.spray dust everywhere. Highly recommend!
