I have a dump trailer and the tarp that I purchased as a dump trailer tarp kit wore out. This mesh tarp appears to be well made. However I’m unsure how it will perform over time. What I like about it is the mesh fabric that should not catch wind and act like a sail. The are a couple of things that I didn’t like or question the fabrication. First is it’s all mesh except for one end has a solid vinyl loop the width of the tarp. The other end is looped by the same mesh with a strip of vinyl double stitched. These loops are to slide the poles that either wind up the tarp or secure at the end of dump truck or dump trailer in my case. After securing the tarp to the poles with pop rivets. I found that I would rather have had both ends of the tarp with the vinyl loop instead of the mesh loop. After rolling up the tarp the grommets added thickness when rolled up. Making it difficult to roll up the last 12”. I question why they would put grommets if there’s sleeves for poles, since the tarp shouldn’t need to be secured. Those who have a dump trailer or dump truck would understand this. If I wanted a tarp with grommets and no sleeves I could go to Harbor freight or any box store buy one and use it as a tarp. Finding the right length and width is hard and I didn’t think that the grommets would be a big deal, but they are.
