Good reviews so I purchased
This is another tool that I purchased thinking that I would be using it a lot but so far I have not used it not even one time. Well I take that back I did use it once. It’s nice to have a ultrasonic cleaner around the shop though for cleaning carburetors and things like that. So I don’t regret purchasing it even though it was a little bit pricey.Lots of people said that they have had them for a long time without any break down so that was my motivation for purchasing this particular unit

Great Cavitation on Aluminum Oil (10.25" x 5" tub)
Obviously, the first thing I did was the foil test. I ended up with amazing results. Achieved excellent cavitation within 2 minutes or less. If you were looking for a powerful one, you found it. I would just be careful with the timing as the oil was pretty well destroyed in less than 2 minutes. It is a little loud, but given the power, its what would be expected. When operating, you should give it time to preheat first if using heat, but, the heating power was not lacking any either. The only thing I wish was with it would be a plastic basket, but I'm not sure that a stainless one would scratch anyways. No one mentioned the tub size. Its about 10.25" x 5" with plenty of depth. Much like the stainless pans you would find in a restaurant.I have only tested it so I will come back and leave a little more once I've cleaned a firearm (my main intention) and some jewelry.

Very effective on gun parts
I purchased this primarily for cleaning gun parts and along with Hornandy cleaner it is very effective in that capacity. The size and shape of the tub is perfect for cleaning a variety of parts without requiring excessive cleaning solution and the drain valve is extremely convenient for draining and cleaning the device afterwards. The description did not mention anything about a drain hose but mine included one which is very handy for draining the used solution into a milk jug without making a mess. The heating element worked very fast and using the cleaner is intuitive. I am not certain where the temperature sensor is located though as it did heat the solution slightly hotter than what I set it to, but that wasnt really a problem, it was just a few degrees. You just need to be sure to take care to remove all moisture from the parts afterwards and re-lubricate as it completely strips away all deposits including oil.-KBK

Does hold 6L, kind of. Heater can be used independently. Seems well constructed.
1. It works. I ran the aluminum foil test twice and it worked as expected.2. It does hold 6L. Read below for more on that.3. It seems well constructed. Nothing feels like it going to break through normal use.4. The heater can be used without turning on the ultrasonic portion. Some other units don't have that feature.I wanted to give this unit 4 stars, but it did everything the listing said it would. The biggest reason is the capacity. Just like all the other units it doesn't seem like it holds its rated volume, and looks smaller than you expect. When I drained off the cleaning solution (Simple Green and water) I ended up with 5.2L so I decided to measure its max capacity. With nothing in it and filling it to the very edge of spilling over it does indeed hold 6L, but you would never use it that full as even putting the lid on displaces a small amount. Draining it to the fill line removes 1.1L, and of course you would drain even more out once you put the basket and your parts to clean in the unit.I chose this unit over some of the other ones due to the higher quality stainless steel, and it does feel sturdy and cleans up nicely. The controls and drain valve work nicely and the small parts/jewelry basket is well constructed. The parts basket could definitely be bigger and I would prefer the one that hangs on the sides rather than this one with the little feet on the bottom. If needed I will construct my own basket. The unit unexpectedly came with a bonus nylon reinforced hose with a threaded attachment that screws into the drain valve to make it easier to drain the unit. The timer ranges from 0 - 30 minutes, and you can press the button while in use to shorten or extend the time (still limited to 30 mins). The heater ranges from 0 - 80º and you can operate it separately from the ultrasonic function (I almost burned myself testing that). The heater is concentrated in one small area rather than spread out so it would take time and circulation to heat up the entire reserv

Slow oil heating up works very well

works ok
I've never used one of these before so I have nothing to compare it to. It seems to clean well - I bought it for cleaning carburetors. It's noisy, but people tell me that's normal.

Appears to be well built
I give the Moogorn 6L Professional 5 stars based on my perceived value. I bought this unit to clean rifle brass for reloading as well as carburators as needed. So far I have only used it on the rifle brass about 6 times and it has proved excellent for this so far. The included drain valve and hose are a great addition and make draining solutions for storage or disposal a breeze. I was expecting it to be louder based on the reviews I read but was very satisfied with the noise level in my unit...However, I did measure the sound level and it was 89db right next to the unit and that dropped 10db to 79db 3' away. The noise frequency is a mix from about 100hz to 18khz so maybe my 65yr old ears are not as sensitive as others. It runs in my shop so it is just not an issue for me, even if I am doing other work in the shop. The unit appears to be very well made in fit, finish and materials. The temperature reading showing the "Actual Temperature" reads about 20 degrees lower than the bath temperature I measured with a thermometer. If that temperature is critical for your application I would suggest you check it with an immersed thermometer.
