Review of the heater
Very easy to set up - The controller and the instructions are difficult to figure out Heats the garage well even on the 23F days to 65F over a couple of hours - ( mostly insulated) Absolutely like the 100V plug in version - no battery to worry about - Please make the instruction/directions easier to apply/read - a nice you tube video of someone actually using this newer model would be fantastic

Works as promised so far
Easy to use after you figure out the manual… I think the manual is translated and for several models… I got stuck on trying to prime but all you do is add diesel and turn it on and it primes itself. Been happy with it so far, seems to use about the same amount of fuel no matter what setting and temp setting is way off but 1-10 works good

best bang for your buck
Since this heater is designed for primarily indoors. Here a few modifications to solve E05 error overheat for outdoor applications(Tents, RVS, and campers) 1) Extend the LCD wire controller to the detect the ambient temperature for the application. 2) Use 4 inch diameter duct hose to derestrict air flow. 3) Raise the heater about 2 to 3 inches for the exhaust pipe and air intake. 4) Set to manual mode #1 to save on diesel and battery consumption. After these mods and setting. My heater ran for more than 9 hrs straight with no issues on Auto mode.

Received my heater three weeks ago installed in the shop. I have ran about 5 gallons of diesel through it so far been working properly blows very hot and very efficient. Love it.

Disappointed by the lack of control available in earlier models
I bought these heaters expecting the controls common to earlier models, where one is able to adjust the fuel air mixture to achieve a lean clean burn. Not only is that not possible, there is no adjustment possible at all. It is supposed to have an automatic altitude adjustment, but it doesn't. It says either 0000m or 0001m. For reference, I am not at sea level, I'm at 310m here. Additionally, the fuel pump has failed. It sucks air, adds air bubbles to the fuel going into the heater. I have repeatedly tried to get some sort of refund from Vevor, but their system does not receive messages. I have tried to post messages multiple times, they just don't go through. So now, I'm spending $60 to buy a whole new control set from a different company, the older style where one can control the air/fuel ratio and which can be controlled by aftermarket controllers like the Afterburner. Very disappointed in Vevor, both for changing the design of the controller and their complete lack of attention to my case.

I was sceptical !
Ok. My Son-in-law bought one for his hunting cabin, mounted every thing in a portable box. Powered by a Milwaukee power tool battery..lol I was seriously impressed. So I bought the vertical model for my garage workshop. Works fantastic, incredibly fuel efficient and heats up a 25’x20’ garage in no time. Now the bad stuff: instructions are useless., but it’s not hard to figure out. Pretty sure I read somewhere it was UL listed. It’s not. The power cable for hook up to a 12v battery has 5mm ring terminals, show me a 12v with that size ..lol The smell! First few uses, it reeks of hot paint and plastic. (Yes the exhaust is outside). But that smell is gone now. Overall, it’s an incredibly efficient machine, puts out loads of heat. I’m very happy with it. Yes! It had some flaws, but for the price and performance, I think 5 stars is worthy. Hope this helps!

Set up the new heater
Unpacked it all, verified the conents and all looked good except a small scratch on the front of the heater, looked like a power tool slipped and is unimportant for the operation. Made sure everything was connected properly. Filled the tank with fuel and proceeded to perform the manual pump to get fuel to the inlet but could not get the necessary code to come up. I'm assuming ( I know that nasty \"A\" word ) it's because I used the on board tank and not external tank and the fuel was already there. Havnt played with the controls enough to have fully figured out for settings in auto ( setting on off times ) or manual, but learned enough to allow it to go through start-up. It took about 2 to 3 minutes to purge and begin the ignition process and fired right up as tho I just turned it off. The unit is much quieter than expected and in the video is operating without the muffler which takes the noise down roughly 30 to 50%. The exhaust gets very hot and began discoloring the exhaust tube rather quickly, which was expected. I put the piece of duct tubing with diffuser and it had quite warm / hot air blowing out and don't think it's something I'll want to touch after an hour of operation. I gave only 4 stars as I dont think the manual is as good as it should / could be but I believe it'll heat my camper quite well this winter. At this time I'm quite happy with the heater and hopes to perform as well when it gets cold. If it maintains good temperatures on those cold nights and the quiet operation it'll be more than well worth it at nearly 4$ a gallon for fuel. I'm certain propane or electricity is more than that and the noise from the propane heater makes it difficult to hear the TV or carry on a conversation. Edited 13 October 2004 Used this for the first time on the evening of 11 October, I have the 5-8k model. Had the unit set at the lowest settings with an outside temperature of 38 to 40F and heating a space that's a camper 8.5'wide X 25'long x 10' tall. It heated

Had this for over 6weeks now and should have brought one a long time ago , is a great little unit and bring the temperature up a lot faster than I thought it would

Good unit, but unfortunately the heater required repairs to the outer cover due to very poor handling through the delivery process. Handle bent 45 degrees inward and coating chipped. Unit operates as it should bring very effective heater.
