First of all, these ramps work great, and the price is more reasonable than others. They also have a surface which is easier to see in the dark and grips tires better. This should make them work far better in snow.
That all being said, there are a few properties which I believe could be improved upon.
1) they appear slightly shorter than other brands,
2) unless you bolt them in place, they move away from the curb over time,
3} they are made for straight line installations,
4) they begin to have the appearance of sagging in a short amount of time, as though they require more structure, even with only the use of unmodified SUVs
The bump is far less than before, so nothing to do about #1. I live in a cul-de-sac, so I bought a total of 4 to cover the full width of the driveway. The city won't let you bolt them down, so that option is out. In addition to the expanding bolts, they also came with bolts that you can use to bolt them together. In my case, this seems to fix #2.
I added 1 inch of metal spacers between one side of the units when bolting them together, and this made them fit the cul-de-sac better. This corrected items 2 and 3. An optional package could be made available to provide this support out of the box.
Additional structure could be added to the units by adding additional cross members or filling in all but the center space with rubber. Customers can also perform this upgrade by buying some rubber-like compound at a home improvement store and filling in the gaps.
Again, I think these units are great, and suspect we will see improvements over time, so I would recommend them to anyone having a need.
