A showpiece (an eye winner) the quality of the polished stainless steel makes this a winner for me but it does come with a few drawbacks
The amount of juice extracted is less than the Kuvings whole juicer and which seems to draw more juice and even juice from the peel (it doesn’t leave anything on the peel as waste) unlike the Vevor which seems to waste juice (I do get more juice from my Kuvings in comparison) although it’s possibly trivial
The vevor was advertised with incorrect dimensions (it is wider than advertised) but vevor were quick to offer a $280.00 refund (although I did not seek this highlighting the discrepancies on arrival)
I did fit my vevor juicer into a mobile type road case with a slide forward base to access its rear and only fired it up tonight (first time) see photos attached
My review is based from my use tonight
Firstly, the rear kettle cord plug (supplied) did not fit the rear connector (I was forced to use my own)
The juicer did okay I really happy with its appearance and view window plastic Perspex but when washing in a stainless tub be minstil not to scratch it
When dismantling, one twist screw disintegrated in my hand and into three pieces (most dissatisfied and disappointed) as the plastic appears to be brittle (acted like it was sun affected)
Blades were tricky to remove (maybe this is where the Philips head screw driver supplied is for.
There are flat head screws which seem to be for one tray but holes in tray were too small (only just) but not able to screw the tray with the long pin flat head screws already mounted on arrival
I was a bit surprised user needs to feed the juicer (very hands on) especially if you are filling smaller drinking glasses and without any control of the flow (no tap) you must sit the catching glass or jug for a period of time it stops dripping (geez it’s nice to control the flow in between re-loading jug (a jug I was forced to find myself)
The vevor juicer is let down by its manufacturer supplying no actual pouring jug and they don’t even sell the tap as an added accessory and I was told to ‘keep an eye out for this once it becomes available * no effort to contact me once they (pull the finger out) finally have a range of accessories (which I thought was not good enough personally)
All in all the vevor is more of a cafe showpiece than it in maximising performance (it does waste a percentage of the oranges juiced) but still it does what it does and produces fair juice extraction. Personally I find my Kuvings easier and which extracts peel juice also but nothing compares to the big viewing window and the satisfaction of watching your juice get squeezed
3 out of 5 performance
5 out of 5 appearances
2 out of 5 quality (how does the plastic screw tops disintegrate? And supplying power cords don’t fit)
It’s a crowd of lesser and eye catching (lesser of a work horse)
