I originally purchased this commercial immersion blender because I often do cooking and catering on the side. I needed something heavy duty without motor quilting while using the appliance. This tool is "HUGE" like a super mini jackhammer. It was much bigger than what I thought it would be, but the unit has a "heavy duty" motor and appears to be a great quality product. It would have been nice if the picture included a visual measurement from top of base to bottom of shaft to show how big it is. I gave three stars for ease of use: I would recommend buying a smaller commercial immersion blender if possible if you needed something that is not heavy and easier to use. I have to put my ingredients in a big stainless steel 8 QT or bigger soup cookware on the floor when I am combining ingredients to make it easier to operate. I've made lentil brownies, hummus, smoothies, etc for up to 40 people and it is great! I would recommend buying it if you are not worried about the heaviness of the tool to operate it. This tool is HUGE (It is a total of 30 inches tall with the handheld motor attached to the 16 inch shaft).
