I do a LOT of dehydrating, and because of this, I do a LOT of chopping and dicing. I was going through the smaller hard plastic container dicers about every 6 months or so.This dicer is massively STURDY! Comes with extra blades should you need them, and works as it says it should. The entire outer case is all stainless steel and very nicely put together.I mostly do celery and green peppers. It is a bit ticky to clean celery strings from. I do not have a dishwasher, so I cannot comment on that. It does come with a cleaning tool, but it is much easier to just use a small very thin bladed knife to clean between the tines of the chopper.Because I use this in my home and not a commercial setting, the only thing I wish it did have, is a case/box to put it away in. Along with the extra chopping pieces. The chopping pieces are very well built and sturdy.I am not used to the pushing down part, my dicers have all been a side slap style, but it is easy to use, just takes some getting used to. I have not tried it with potatoes, yet, but will soon. I do have a nice mandolin slicer that I usually use for those, as we do a lot more fried potatoes, rather then French fried style. But I am looking forward to doing some chopped to see how they dehydrate.
