I start with a post hole digger with a two stroke engine and when I hit a rock or hard pack clay. I switch to this blade with the jack hammer. It works very and is the only that I found to get by hand.
The ground on my property is very hard and has a lot of clay and rock in it. I used the Spade on my jack hammer to break the ground up to do trenching for water lines and drainage.
Spade was surprisingly hefty. Bought for the Xtreme jack hammer. It was used for digging holes in clay soil. Very good. Seems like it will last a long time ... let's hope.
